Type 1: Level 2: Ongoing education
Children and young people with type 1 diabetes
The nature of clinic attendance for children and young people with type 1 diabetes ensures regular,
frequent contact with the health care team. Level 2 education is, to date, normally conducted on a
one-to-one basis according to each family's needs.
Adults with type 1 diabetes
Ongoing education is often delivered on a one to one basis as people request specific support in lifestyle issues.
The interactive diabetes website
My Diabetes My Way hosts
a variety of educational resources to support ongoing education.
